Loss of a childhood memory.

After 53 years, Oxford Lanes in Dearborn, MI closed for good on Dec. 31st 2011. I spent many hours there as a kid on bowling leagues. Hanging out in the snack bar ordering a burger, or fries, or an apple danish. Even had part of a bachelor party there. I’m sad to see it go.

On the bright side, at least it won’t be another vacant building. That site will soon be a LaFontaine Volkswagen dealership.
