Finally, we get some snow… all be it only two inches. The kids don’t care how much there is, they’re just happy to get out and play. Hopefully we get some more before winter 2012 is gone.

North American International Auto Show. This year along with all the other great cars, the Tata Technologies eMO was featured in the Michelin Design Challenge display. Another great year for the Auto Show in Detroit.

After 53 years, Oxford Lanes in Dearborn, MI closed for good on Dec. 31st 2011. I spent many hours there as a kid on bowling leagues. Hanging out in the snack bar ordering a burger, or fries,  or an apple danish. Even had part of a bachelor party there. I’m sad to see it go.

On the bright side, at least it won’t be another vacant building. That site will soon be a LaFontaine Volkswagen dealership.

Had a great time in Kalamazoo for New Years.  Our annual trip is low key, but always fun. We even got to see some snow, the only snow we’ve had this season.

The annual Harrison / Holden Christmas Eve party in Saline, MI.  This years Aunt Kathy event to the cousins entailed building a wood airplane, going outside in the cold, flying the planes, and then a white elephant gift exchange. How can she top that next year?

Second trip this year to the Denver Tata Technologies office. Got some work done as well as some fun too. Had dinner at Rock Bottom Brewery with the whole Denver team for the Holidays and even got into Beta nightclub for free for some techno.  A half dozen or more people thought they knew me;  apparently there is someone in the Denver techno scene that looks just like me, crazy!

Over 20 years later and the St. Martha Christmas Party is just as fun as ever. Hot dogs and chips, just as I remember, and so many presents! And the kids had a good time too hahaha!

The only thing better than an evening at the ballpark, an evening at the ballpark with some great friends. Carolyn and Stacie come in to Detroit for the last weekend of regular season play for the AL Central Division Champion Tigers. Great time at the ballpark and some refreshments afterward at Grand Trunk Pub.
